The LAST SHOT Dance!

Tonight is my last shot in the bum! How do you feel about that, you ask?...

Well, I would have to first thank each and every shot for helping us get to this point and I know without each and every poke in the tummy or butt that it would not have been possible. So as I say my farewell, I don't want to hate on the needles....

Now on the other hand, knowing that I won't have a black and blue bruise on my butt any longer and dread shoving the needle and hoping for it to be somewhat not painful is gunna feel great!

I am happy to say we are moving on and the babies are growing perfect and no longer need help from the medication:) Our doctors office in NYC has given the okay to move forward with the OB here in my town!

SO, GOODBYE SHOTS! I WILL NOT MISS YOU!

Oh and here is a photo I'd like to share..I would love to see the amount of blood that has been taken out of my body this past 3 months. This last time the lady decided to shove her needle into the same spot from the guy 3 days prior to her.
We had a bleeder!

Health nut?...

So as the pregnancy kicks into first gear I'm extremely tired and have little to no motivation to do just about anything (hoping this changes come 2nd Trimester)...But with reality of 4 kids/full time school/everyday family duties, honestly there isn't a lot of room to be taking naps and ignoring housework.

I've been on the prenatal vitamins and iron supplements since day one so I know that is giving me a little extra boost, I set a 1 cup of coffee a day rule with all my pregnancies, I know in the mornings I wouldn't be able to even function without that one cup so thats my treat to myself.

I have also started on my healthier diet, I'm not much of a health freak and usually eat what I want, when I want so obviously I knew that had to change right away. I've started reading labels on boxes and portion control. I have 3 meals a day and 3-4 snacks a day, so I feel like I'm doing nothing but eating, just choosing what I am eating is a big deal. Low Carbs and trying to stay away from my all time favorite, Chocolate anything...With being two lil beans, I've read up on what to expect with weight gain and how to plan ahead for that. And so far looks like what I'm doing is right on track.

I've already set up a meeting with the OB nutritionist so we can make plans for these next months. I'm not a freak about this, I just want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to stay on top of my health and the health of the babies.

I'm feeling very bloated and not so "hot" these last couple weeks. I have 2 pairs of jeans that still fit good, so I've been wearing a lot of my leggings lately and bigger shirts. I know I'm a bit early to be wearing maternity clothes, but I'm not gonna lie, I don't think it's going to be that far away from now... I've grown my baby bump early with my last two pregnancies so I'm not expecting anything different with that..

U/S later this week and then OB appt in two weeks:)

**Baby Growth**

Babies are about 1 inch long. Fingers and toes are present. Eyelids are forming and Hearts are beating:)

Well Hello there babIES!!

Sorry for the late post....But I do like to keep my fans waiting;)

We had the US pushed back a week, so really that's why I haven't updated. I went in yesterday morning to see the baby for the first time..With 2 minutes of laying back and watching the screen I saw the two little beans all snuggled up..
(then followed up with the happy tears).. They both look great and measured perfect for where they should be. I know its still so early and most people don't even share this news yet, but I'm so happy and confident on how well they are doing.

I knew I felt it inside for the past weeks that we might be growing more then one but just the reality of seeing them there brought so much joy for my IF's. We've talked about this before and they were prepared for it as much as could be.

My family is all very excited and somewhat concerned about carrying twins, I don't worry so much but more curious than anything. I've been pregnant 4 times and every time it has been pretty much the same... So this is a whole new world for me. I guess if I do have any concerns it would be just making it through to the end and not going too early and hopefully not being put on bed rest.

It's so different sharing the news of this and not being my babies, it's funny some of the people I've told say "Do the guys know?" ....WTF!?
NO, I haven't told them yet...I like to share the news with EVERYONE ELSE first...GOD! Yes they know! They are the dads...why wouldn't they know first. Sorry, me venting...

I love the fact that I do get to have this experience and am pretty sure my husband is happy we don't have to keep the babies lol! I don't know a lot of people that have twins but the one's I do know, I've always looked up to them. To have double the love and double the diapers WOW you are a hero in my eyes.

So as I end this post I just want to say that this journey that I started over a year ago isn't exactly what I pictured, but now its just gotten better. I can't wait to get to know these little beans as they grow in me and I'm honored to take care of them for the next months.

We will have another US next week to see the growth that they do in that timeframe.

Till then... HOLY CRAP! I'M PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!:)

roller coaster!

Just checking in with a few thoughts/feelings I've been having...

First, I see pregnant women everywhere! It's like when you buy a new car, and all you see is that same car everywhere you look. And I caught myself staring at this chicks belly today, she probably thought I was a creep lol. At least I'm not asking to touch her belly, right!?!

Second, I am a HUGE emotional wreck..just being honest here. I think it has a lot to do with the fact my husband has been out of town for the past week and I depend on him way more than I'd like to admit. And also just knowing we are finally here..we have made it to what I feel has taken forever. I've been feeling a bit sick after eating and extremely tired, so that's another thing bringing me down a bit.

and last, I have a BETA tomorrow and then we will schedule our first ultrasound sometime next week, and as I was for my own children, I'm anxious to hear a heartbeat or see some sign of baby.

The kids are happy to hear the news, and my 3yr old keeps talking about the baby in my tummy, pretty cute! I love this whole process, even the ups and downs!

Will update with BETA news tomorrow!

Till then here's a picture of my four little nuggets that keep me busy!

BETA News!!

So after getting my blood drawn this morning and waiting for what it felt like 18hrs, the results are in!

That's a awesome number and we are for sure PREGNANT! I can NOT explain how happy I am for my IF's and family! I will go in for another BETA on Wed and post that number as well. It sounds like a ultrasound will be done soon after that.

But it's for real, and I couldn't feel anymore joy in my heart than I do right now.

Thank you all for the support

NOH8 Photo is here!

Yes, it finally came! I chose to do a NOH8 photo for many reasons, obviously first being HUMAN RIGHTS> I will NEVER be okay with the thought of telling people who it is they are allowed to love or to marry.

I also chose to put in a piece of Norway in for the reasons of my friends that I will be carry their child for. I believed in this fight before I met them and I love the fact that I can do my part in helping the world understand it doesn’t matter who makes the family, it is about the love built around the family. LOVE NOT HATE.
